The Mac mini's graphics chipset used a portion of main memory as VRAM. Though reported as a 384 MB graphics system, this was actually a minimum. Actual usage varied with graphics load, resulting in slightly less RAM available for system use.

Introduced in July 2011, the Mac mini Server (Mid 2011) came with an unlimited license for Max OS X Server Lion. It was housed in the same case size and shape as its contemporary Mac mini Mac mini (Mid 2011). It shipped in a single configuration, with a 2.0 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and two 500 GB hard drives, for $999.
